Thanks to all of you at St. Michael who contributed to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s this year. The Walk was held on October 18 at the Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington, DE. This is a beautiful venue for such a walk, and the cool and sunny morning made it all the nicer.
There were 136 teams and 1020 participants who raised $241,432, compared to a goal of $283,000. St. Michael’s contribution was $938.75. It is interesting to note the largest team was a sorority from the University of Delaware which had 230 walkers and raised over $15,000.
If you would still like to contribute, St. Michael will be taking donations up until December 15. You can pay online or by check made out to St. Michael with a designation to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia – by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Thank you again for your support of this worthy cause.
